野三坡的怪石遗迹

怪峰

“怪峰”令人望而生畏，更奇妙的是不同方向仰望，看到不同的景观，向南望为“一人峰”，向北望为“二人峰”、“子母峰”。其原因是由于岩层中发育多组“裂缝”（节理），受后期“差异风化”作用影响，而造成形态不同。

Odd peak

The odd peak is quite unique due to its different shapes from different directions. This peak is composed of rocks with many sets of well-developed joints, shaped by post differentiated weathering.

擎天柱是怎么形成的

高高耸立的石柱，险峻、壮观。形成石柱的岩石，是距今10亿年前的燧石条带白云岩，产状近水平，并发育了直立的多组节理，受后期风化作用而形成，因高耸入云，故称擎天柱。

Steep and high pillars

These steep and high pillars are composed of the horizontal chert-banded dolomite, in which the many sets of vertical joints are developed. After a long-term weathering and gravity collapse, the remained rocks display the steep and high pillars.
